I have a WordPress web site and I have created a temporary web site to test new design. I will move this to the current web when it looks and tests correctly. I have pointed the wordpress & blog url's to the new URL but when we update the site, the current web site is updated. I am a newby. I did not set this up and have taken over the site. So all and any ehlp is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advence for your help.

Posted 1 year ago #You may have two sets of WordPress files pointing to the same database, or you may have the wrong URLs entered in Settings > General.
To test a new or customized theme, it's easy to use the Theme Test Drive plugin.

Posted 1 year ago #Thanks SS_Minnow. That was the problem.. But now I exported from my current DB and imported to my new DB but only four (4) tables are imported. The user table and some others do not get imported. Is there a priveledge I need to import all? This is all new to me (FYI). Again thanks for your help. I thought I was missing something and that was what I needed to know. Any ways any help with the DB problem s greatly appreciated but let me know if I need to create another thread....
