    When I was trying to create a child theme for my blog, and din't like my results, I deleted it. Now when I delete it, I got to my site and see this:

    Warning: require_once(/home/a9603376/public_html/wp-content/themes/city-desk-child/inc/admin/options-framework.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/a9603376/public_html/wp-content/themes/city-desk/functions.php on line 30

    Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/a9603376/public_html/wp-content/themes/city-desk-child/inc/admin/options-framework.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/a9603376/public_html/wp-content/themes/city-desk/functions.php on line 30

    I don't know what happened.

    If it helps, here is my functions.php:

    <?php

    if ( !function_exists( 'optionsframework_init' ) ) {

    	/*-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------*/
    	/* Options Framework Theme
    	/*-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------*/

    	/* Set the file path based on whether the Options Framework Theme is a parent theme or child theme */

    		// DIRECTORIES
    		if ( STYLESHEETPATH == TEMPLATEPATH ) {
    			define('OPTIONS_FRAMEWORK_URL', TEMPLATEPATH . '/inc/admin/');
    			define('OPTIONS_FRAMEWORK_DIRECTORY', get_bloginfo('template_directory') . '/inc/admin/');
    			define('OF_FILEPATH', TEMPLATEPATH);
    			define('OF_DIRECTORY', get_bloginfo('template_directory'));
    		} else {
    			define('OPTIONS_FRAMEWORK_URL', STYLESHEETPATH . '/inc/admin/');
    			define('OPTIONS_FRAMEWORK_DIRECTORY', get_bloginfo('stylesheet_directory') . '/inc/admin/');
    			define('OF_FILEPATH', STYLESHEETPATH);
    			define('OF_DIRECTORY', get_bloginfo('stylesheet_directory'));
    		}

    		define('GABFIRE_INC_PATH', OF_FILEPATH . '/inc');
    		define('GABFIRE_INC_DIR', OF_DIRECTORY . '/inc');
    		define('GABFIRE_FUNCTIONS_PATH', OF_FILEPATH . '/inc/functions');
    		define('GABFIRE_JS_DIR', OF_DIRECTORY . '/inc/js');

    		// OPTION PANEL
    		require_once (OPTIONS_FRAMEWORK_URL . 'options-framework.php');
    		require_once (GABFIRE_INC_PATH . '/theme-init.php'); // Custom functions and plugins
    }
    // remove parentheses from category list and add span class to post count
    function categories_postcount_filter ($brackets) {
    $brackets = str_replace('(', '<span class="post-count"> ', $brackets);
    $brackets = str_replace(')', ' </span>', $brackets);
       return $brackets;
    }
    add_filter('wp_list_categories','categories_postcount_filter');

    function custom_menu()
    {
    if( is_user_logged_in() )
    {
    $custom_menu = 'LoginMenu';
    }
    else
    {
    $custom_menu = 'VisitorMenu';
    }
    wp_nav_menu( array( 'menu' => $custom_menu, 'theme_location' => 'secondary' ) );
    }
    add_action('wp_footer', 'custom_menu');

    What have you done?

    Delete your child theme and revert back to your old theme. This is how you create a child theme:
    - create a new folder in your wp-content/themes
    - copy style.css from your parent theme into your new theme
    - change the theme name
    - inherit css from your old theme

    Delete your child theme and revert back to your old theme.

    I did delete it, and when I did I got the error message. I can't revert to my other theme because of the error message.

    Okay, definitely not happy :/ . So you'll need to access your site files using FTP or another file manager that your hosting company uses and delete (or rename) the city-desk theme and the child theme if it's there too.

    I deleted and reuploaded my theme and got this error:

    Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 30720 bytes) in /home/a9603376/public_html/wp-admin/includes/deprecated.php on line 493

    Does your site work with the default twentytwelve theme?

    Yes, but why isn't my theme working?

    I don't know - but you will need to ask the developers because we don't support commercial themes here - partly because we do not have access to them for testing and use, so can't really help with problems.

    WPyogi... can we take private jobs on support forums? I can assist if that's not an issue...

    No, sorry, you cannot solicit, advertise or do anything other than help out here (for free).

    Again, Archie22is, it is not alright to solicit work.
    Please do not ask people to email you. Keep all support on these forums.

    I am having the same problem. I can't even login to my blog via wordpress anymore because of the error. I followed the directions to add a child theme, then clicked activate and i haven't been able to do anything else since. Deleting the child theme has not made any difference. Can anyone help? My site is http://www.andys-voice.com.

    @kschwei - can you please start your own thread? These forums work better than way - this thread is old and unlikely the same issue you have.
