   I'd like to make my pages equivalent to the home page so that I can post within each page. Is that possible? As it stands, the pages are static and I can't make posts. Example: if my page title is "fashion", I'd like to write different posts about fashion within that page title.

   You can create the page "Fashion" and a category "Fashion" and in your page-fashion.php you can recall via query_posts all posts under category "Fashion" :)
