Create Many Sites in One Database (9 posts)

    Hi,

I need to create several sites with different templates. But, I want to do this by using the same domain and the same database. For instance, the sites will be accessed like: http://www.mydomain.com/site-01, http://www.mydomain.com/site-02, http://www.mydomain.com/site-03, etc...

I know how to create the sites in only one domain, but I want to know how to create them by using the same database, given that each site has different template.

    Please, help me.
    Best regards,
    Andreza

    Thank you, esmi.

    I'll see your link.

Another question, and if I want to share the same data for all sites, except the template. All sites have the same content (pages, menus, posts, etc...), but different template.

Why would you want to do that? You'd get hit by Google's duplicate content penalties.

Because I want to create several sites just as examples to my clients see before buy. So, the content is the same (it is just a site example), only the temaple will be different.

    Thank you.

I've ever seen this plugin, but the problem is that the user must be logged to see the template options, and I will show this site to my clients select their sites with the design like they want.

I want to separate the examples of sites (templates) by category, for instance, Business, Beauty, etc... Like here in the top of the site: http://www.themerox.com/demo/?theme=NemoWP

Thank you again for your attention.

I really prefer to access the sites like: http://www.mydomain.com/site-01, http://www.mydomain.com/site-02, http://www.mydomain.com/site-03, etc...

For this, I can use the Network (WPMU) as you said. But, in this case the content must be different for each site. The WPMU does not allow to share the same content for all sites.

Do you other way to have many sites with the same content but different template?
