Create custom section/template in PageLine with Easy Slider (2 posts)

I want to create a custom homepage in PageLine with several slider sections (see my previous thread here http://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-create-a-custom-page-template).

I was thinking about going Pro. But PageLine Pro seems to be using another slider that I don't want to use. And I'm also not sure if you can have several sliders om the same page using PageLine Pro.

In the free version of PageLines there are a few sections included. What I now want to do is to create a new section (or maby a complete template?) that I can use as my new hompage. The section/template should use the Easy Slider javascript code found here: http://cssglobe.com/post/5780/easy-slider-17-numeric-navigation-jquery-slider

    I've found some instructions here:
    http://www.pagelines.com/docs/custom-sections
But I really can't figure out how to do it. The instructions seems to be for Platform Pro 1.3. But the free Platform version available is 1.1.3. I like the idea of adding new section/template without fear of it being overwritten by updates.

Has anyone else made a custom homepage in the free Platform theme? Please tell me how you did it.

Did you get this figured out? I was trying to add a featured slider to the front page, was able to get it done but unable to get it centered on the page.
