Create Authors and assign them to a page or pages (9 posts)

When I'm logged in as admin I can create new PAGES and assign a author to that specific page. But when that author logs into the admin panel, he can't see the "Pages" menu item... How can I show that?

If I change the Author to Editor, the user can see all pages and can edit everything. I don't want that. I just want Authors assigned to 1 or more pages manually by an Admin.

If I change the user role from Author to Subscriber, the user can't do anything in the admin panel. That doesn't solve the problem since a Subscriber has less permissions than an Author

Hehe ok, np! Just a misunderstanding since my users are already "Author" :D

Edit: Thanks I'll take a look!

It worked by selecting the "edit_published_pages" option for authors in the "User Role Editor WordPress plugin". Now the logged in authors see an "Edit this page" link on their own published pages, and not on other pages.

The only problem now is that the "Pages" section is not visible in the authors admin panel. So I also need to fix that. There's no option in the plugin stated above. Any suggestions?

Hope it will solve your issue.

    EDIT: first check its document.

I think I want to stay away from that one since there are a lot of permission and role code changes since those 2 years
