   I need to make 3 columns within a post. I tried HTML to use   to create spaces between columns but they just won't line up properly.

   Any ideas? Is there a plugin?

   What "spaces"?
   You need to insert 3 divs with their classes (and define them in the style.css: width, margins, padding etc.) into the post content. It is pure HTML coding, nothing else, plus a bit of style.
