costumizing pages menubar

    I want to ad a logo to my menu bar. Also, I wish to make the background of the menubar transparent, so my sitebackground shows through the page titles. i’ve tried to change the colour in the theme options, but #transparant doesn’t work.
    I am fairly new to wordpress and coding,so what do I do?
    I am creating my site on a localhost, so I cant show you my site.
