I have a blog that does not load correctly. Could you tell me which part of WordPress I should look at. Would it be the Theme and which part? or the basic WP installation.

    Regards

You're going to need to be much, much more specific. What do you get when you attempt to load the page? What do you expect to get? What version of WordPress are you running?

As per usual, start by disabling all plugins and reverting to the Twenty Eleven theme.

The link is http://www.perob.com/blog This loads some posts, but when I click read more it does not load the post, and when I click at the bottom for the 2 page of posts it does not load the earlier posts.

Again, switch to the default theme and disable all plugins so we can narrow down on the problem.

I deactivated the Plugins, where is the information stored? because when I reload the menu widget it was empty. I do have a back-up.

Your menu is still there, it's just not selected. Just go to the 'Menu' interface and re-assign the menu to the desired location.

As for the blog not showing individual posts; that problem vanished when you switched to Twenty Eleven. That means there is something wrong with the theme.

Yes agreed the menu is there, but I had another menu from a Widget, where does a Plugin widget store it's information?

Thanks for helping locate that the problem is with the Theme. Can I just copy over files and folders from the original which worked, or is there a specific file/folder that I should use?

    Thanks in advance

Depends on what plugin it is. If it's a well written plugin, it would have moved the widget to the 'Inactive Widgets' section with all your data in tact.

As for the theme, it's likely a file called archive.php or category.php that ceases to work. If you have a previous version that worked, start by reverting those files. What theme are you using, anyway?

(Sidenote: For things like menus, it's good practice to use core functionality as much as possible. Sometimes plugins aren't updated and a WordPress update can totally break them... which leads to a lot of effort fixing problems that shouldn't exist in the first place)

There is no widget in the Inactive widgets section. My hosting company has re-installed a back-up from 19th, and is doing the same from a DB back-up. Is all widget stuff store in the DB?

I bought the Theme "Blocked" there is no support now, that stopped beginning of September a few days later after I bought it.

I still have the loading problem with the Blog. I do have a test installation on another site that works. How can I find out where the problem is? Hope you can help?
