    I keep getting the error:

    Error establishing a database connection

I've checked my wp-config file numerous times and it seems as though the info is all correct!

I do have a questions though...I created the MySQL with Go Daddy. Then I uploaded wordpress to a sub-directory (/wordpress) on my domain. Does it have to be on the root for it to work?

I'm just trying to install it here for now so I can get it all setup before transferring to the root.

    Any ideas?

No - WP doesn't have to be installed in the root domain to work. Have you checked your db details with your host? Perhaps they have a server problem at the moment.

Ok so I just realized I didn't run the actual install. I copied all of the files to the WordPress directory.

Just now, I found a godaddy tutorial that said I need to start the install process by going here: http://ladanroxy.com/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php

    Then I got this error:

    Can’t select database

We were able to connect to the database server (which means your username and password is okay) but not able to select the ladanroxy.com database.

    * Are you sure it exists?
    * Does the user ladanroxy have permission to use the ladanroxy.com database?
    * On some systems the name of your database is prefixed with your username, so it would be like username_ladanroxy.com. Could that be the problem?

If you don't know how to setup a database you should contact your host. If all else fails you may find help at the WordPress Support Forums.

I don't really understand what any of their bulletpoint questions mean since I've never installed wordpress on GoDaddy before. What should I do?

Check your details in the wp-config.php file - specifically your database name, username, password and host.

I've checked, re-checked and checked again.

I copied and pasted the host name directly from godaddy.

Are you absolutely sure that your database is called "ladanroxy.com"?
