   I have upgraded my wordpress MU site (automatically) to version 2.8.1, but after the update, the message in the top keeps showing

   "WordPress MU 2.8.1 is available! Please update."

   Is there a way to remove this message, and disable the version check?

   Regular WP 2.8.1 does the same thing. If it's not affecting the use of the site (and I don't see that it does), just ignore it until they fix it in the next update.
