Coraline Different Menu For Blog (2 posts)

Hi! Here's the setup: the Coraline theme nicely picks up our custom menu and displays the links down the right sidebar of the site. If we remove the custom menu widget, Coraline shows the recent posts from the blog page of the site.

Here's the wish: We want the custom menu on the rest of the site's pages, but on the blog page, have it replaced by the recent posts.

Here's the problem: Coraline only supports one menu, and has no dedicated PHP file for the blog page that I can edit. Some kind of coding will be needed.

Can I tweak the PHP for the sidebar to say, if this is the Blog page, show recent posts instead of the menu? Or is there some other way to make this happen?

I am comfortable with Html and CSS, and am a beginner on PHP. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks!

use a plugin to enable you to limit which areas particular widgets are displayed on. Conditional widgets or widget logic might work for you
