  • Are there any copyright issues to observe?

No – the theme is release under General Public License (GPL).

@afrank, the photos are released under a public license as well.

You can share them, and re-use them, but not sell them.

Do I have to mark anything, if I edit the theme, change, the colors or a bit of the layout?

    Can I remove the footer?

    Thanks!

    No

    Can I remove the footer?

Yes. But be warned that your changes will be over-written the next time you upgrade WordPress or the theme. For this reason, it is recommended that you consider creating a child theme for your customisations.

    Thanks for the answer!

Can I modify every GPL Licensed Theme?

Yes. That’s how GPL works 🙂

But shouldn‘t I say somewhere that I modified the code of off somebody else, like in the sourcecode for example?

    Yes, you should.

    No, you don’t HAVE to.

    I would, but then again, I’m pro-giving back 🙂
