   Hi,
   I'm trying to copy the uploaded media files from one site to another. I tried using ftp to copy the uploads/2009 folder from the original site to the new one but after the transfer was complete, I was still unable to see my files within the new site's dashboard. I was able to manually enter "domain name.com/wp-content/uploads and access them there but this is of no use to me. Can someone help me do this without having to upload all of the files 1 by 1 to the new domain.

   There are values in the db that make the files appear in the admin media area. Is this a new site you are copying to? If so, it may be easier to just copy the complete site to the other site. See the following videos for a few ways to do that.
