   Hi All,

   I am new to WP, and only playing with it at the moment building a site for a local drama group. At the moment I want to copy the pages I have been working on to another domain, so I expect I would need to copy and transfer the database. It is only a few pages, but I don't know where to start. I wondered whether anyone could advise me on how to do this?

   Checkout the import/export features. They're under "Tools" in 2.7. Also, take a look at this for a more extensive solution: http://codex.wordpress.org/Backing_Up_Your_Database

   many thanks, I'll have a look... although as it is only a few pages I may just copy and paste the html..... but many thanks nonetheless

   I tried the option in Tools but got this error....

   Unable to create directory /home/lams08/public_html/wp-content/uploads/2009/03. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

   What should I do?

   Can I just upload the xml file with my ftp software and get it to work somehow?
