  • Hey IanForster. The easiest way to do this would probably be with a post duplicator plugin, I’m guessing…there isn’t anything built into the core plugin that allows for this. But there are a number of third-party post duplicators out there, and technically they should pick up our events since they’re just a custom post type. If you can find one that reads CPTS you should be set.

Hope that helps and sorry I couldn’t offer up more in terms of an official solution. Please let me know what else I can do or if you have other questions.

Thanks very much for your very helpful advice.

Post duplicator works like a dream. It’s only been downloaded 1,178 times compared to the many thousands by some of its competitors, but honestly, WP users do not know what they are missing. No setup, no instructions needed, no video tutorials.

It takes about 2 seconds to copy an event page compared to minutes of retyping. Best of all it is FREE!

Thanks for confirming, IanForster…awesome to hear that plugin worked for you. Always awesome to find an off-the-beaten-path plugin that gets the job done.

Sounds like you’re all set here so I’m going to mark this RESOLVED, but please let me know if you think I’ve done so in error. Otherwise thanks again for your support and please let me know what else you need down the road. If you find yourself with a few free minutes and would be so kind as to write us a review here on WordPress.org, we sure would appreciate it.

What’s the link to the plug-in you’re talking about here?

Hi robtab: my guess is the plugin he spoke of is here – http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/post-duplicator/. Hope that helps!
