   I was wondering if it's OK to do this

   I have this on winXP xampp
   C:\xampp\mysql\data\mywpdbname

   can I just copy the entire folder ( mywpdbname )
   and then FTP it to live server ?

   I've tried phpmyadmin, it's great but not good for big database.
   and the straight command line (dump) is way over my understanding.
