I made this template for my sister a while back and it's a pure CSS template and I thought it would be a good idea to share with the community. If you want to try it out you can just change the @import line in index.php to link to http://wordpress.org/resources/charleen/charleen.css . If you want to use it go to http://wordpress.org/resources/charleen/ and download the two files you need to your site. Just put the image and the CSS file in the same directory and you should be fine. You don't need to modify any of your template except the CSS line!
I hope this is useful to somebody. Let me know what you think.

I just realize that the CSS code for the calendar is meant to work with the new calendar, not the old one. Well to see what the calendar should look like see
    http://fresh.wordpress.org/
which I've temporarily modified to use this theme.

Good job allusion. I made it the default template for my Weblog Tools Collection site. I also added a new category called WordPress Templates where I am trying to keep track of all templates that I know of, an example of what they look like and their download location. Again, thanks for your good work!

I love it, used it on my site too. Will have to make some color changes to differentiate it, but this is awesome, thanks!

The new calendar is part of the CVS version and will come up in the next release.

    Allusion,
look forward to seeing your post.
I tried modifying it by myself, but failed :). I cann't make it look good in both IE and Mozilla.
BTW, the current version works not very good in IE. when window width is narrower, there is a blank white space to the right of menu div.

Is it just me or has the b2calendar.php file disappeared from the CVS?

It has. It's been replaced by the template tag get_calendar().

I tried taking the Charleen stylesheet from http://wordpress.org/resources/charleen/charleen.css and then using firebird and the editcss extension http://texturizer.net/firebird/extensions/#editcss I simply copied the the Charlene css into the left panel to see what I had. It did two funny things:
    1. the menu overlaid the content (I had the same problem with the original WordPress style and had to adjust divs to fix it).
    2. I had black text on black background.
I wonder if it isn't a complete stylesheet (meaning it is meant to interact with other styles?). It might be nice if someone who had it working could post a screenshot.

    Working example of charlene.css:
    http://dinki.mine.nu/word/
Fixed a little, works ok in most browsers.

Another one is here. LL can u tell me the code i need to change to increase the width?

I made these changes: (this is not CSS, just an explanation)
    #body: made margin: 0 0 0 0
    #content: made margin 0 200px 0 20px
    #header: made padding-left: 30px
    #header a: made right: 45px
    #rap: made margin:0 45% 0 45%
    #rap: made width: auto
This is a terrible way to explain the CSS to you. I apologize. If you cannot make it work, simply grab the CSS from http://dinki.mine.nu/word/charlene.css
