Convincing the Boss to use WordPress. Any ideas?
-
I’m trying to convince my boss/department to switch over to using wordpress to manage our content — especially since they are always asking me to make stupid copy edits.
Our site is a PR 5 site with 50,000+ hits a day, but we only have about 200 pages of content. Funny how that works.
Some of the concerns they have are:
+ being able to backup the content
+ site traffic causing WP to crash
+ having someone who knows how to manage WP in case of my absence
+ is it mid-term solution 2-3 years
+ constant WP upgrades
+ security issuesIf you guys have any insight that I could use to help create an argument and present WordPress as a quasi-CMS solution would be appreciated.
Thanks!
