Converting/moving an HTML site to WordPress (1 post)

I have an enormous HTML-based website the contents of which I need to link/move to the WP site. I've been putting off the move for ages as it's an enormous task.

    The original site is:

    http://williambowles/info

and the new one, temporary right now is:

    http://williambowles/info/wordpress

I'm trying to figure out how best to move/convert what is essentially a menu-driven site with different sections and roughly 2.5 gigs of pages (20,000+).

I've been playing around with different themes but none seem to suit the purpose. I could put the contents of each section into a page rather than a post and leave the pages in the old site but I'm not happy with this solution.

Any ideas on how best to do this would be really appreciated?

    Bill

PS: I can code HTML but PHP is a step too far for me
