   Is there any way I can convert a WordPress theme into a bbPress theme?

   Yes.

   You have to know html/css well, and know a little bit of rudimentary bbpress. There's plenty of posts on their forums so you can find out pretty much everything you want to know there. Also - take a look at the existing bbpress theme the package provides, and you can get an idea of what templates are needed for where.
