• I have recently started using the Magazino Theme and I can’t find any way to control what posts (and how many) go onto the slider on the front page…

Can anyone give me details of how I can control this?

Sorry if it is something really simple that I should’ve found by now!

    Cheers.

  • Please take a look at this section found in the readme.txt file:

    IMPORTANT NOTES:
    * Any post set as “Sticky” will be automatically added to the homepage slider.
    * The homepage slider is only activated if there is at least 2 featured/sticky posts.
    * For the slider featured image, the ideal width is at least 1000px and the ideal height is at least 300px. Any part of the featured image that exceeds this dimension will be automatically cropped.
    * If there is no featured image set for a post in the slider, the first image found will be used instead. (This only works for the slider)
    * If the recommended “Multiple Post Thumbnails” plugin is installed, the secondary featured image will be used by as the the thumbnail for the grid posts. If nothing found (or the plugin is not installed), then the first image attached to the post will be used in the grid posts instead.
    * The ideal size for the featured image on the homepage grid thumbnails is 300×200 pixels.

    Hope this helps.

@kaniamea Thanks a lot! I knew it would be something simple that I should’ve known! I appreciate your help.

    Hi,
I don’t have this “sticky” mention with my posts, so i can not control the number of pictures that go on the slide show. How can I make this “sticky” things appear? Well i use wordpress in french, so it’s certainly not the same word….
    Thanks for your attention

    Hi,
Atopia, maybe late for you, but I hope it helps other users. I found the “sticky” option. You can select it on the Publish section -right side bar- when you are editing a post, under visibility menu.
As far as I understand, if you do not set up any post as sticky, by default magazino displays about 10 posts. Once you set up a post as sticky, the ones not marked as sticky do not appear anymore. So, if you want only 1 post in the slider, mark as sticky only this post, if you want 2 posts, mark both, and so on.

    Cheers,
