• Content for ‘pages’ for my books show up on my site under the correct tab. They are the Parent to ‘sneak peek’ and ‘table of contents’.

I want to edit only the book parent but the editor for that page is empty. The page is on the site, but there is no content in the editor for either of the two books arranged the same way. I need to change the parent content but can’t since the content is not in the editor. What on earth is going on and how do I fix it?

  • By “editor” do you mean the physical code or are you clicking the actual page and typing within that particular page and not a page template?

I meant the WordPress editor. I found the solution. While the page title was in the place I was looking, the actual content was stored elsewhere. I have since updated that content. I am puzzled at the structure, but since I solved the problem, I can move on without understanding.
    Thanks for your response.

ah very good. if you learn a little about wp things will become easier to solve. for instance… structure.

when you edit a page that you created and enter data into the space below the title of the page, you are entering data into the actual page.

however, if you are entering data in a page template, that data will show on every single page that uses that template.

Thanks. The issue was the actual content was in the shopping cart pages but the page was listed in the regular pages and was thus, empty. Go figure.
