Forums » Fixing WordPress » Content goes missing in IE

  • Have been building our site and everything looks good in Firefox and Safari, but in IE the whole thing is a mess!

First, parts of the content on some of the pages can not be seen… It seems the browser chooses which bits it might like to display…since content has been entered in the same way in all “pages”, I can not work out why on some it appears as it should, and yet on other pages it chooses to display only the first line of text and nothing else….

Also, in IE the dynamic sidebar does not display properly…it should show two columns of 125 pixel wide banner ads (with a double column 250pix banner at the bottom), but only displays the first column of banner ads in the right hand sidebar…

Strangely, on one “page” it also for some reason does not display the images for the theme correctly, so there is no right hand column space visible behind the sidebar…

    The site is usacasinoslist.com

Any suggestions on how to fix these issues would be very much appreciated.

    thanks for that whooami…

At least now I know why it doesnt work, but since I am a wordpress novice and code is not my natural habitat, that was quite depressing…lol…especially when I discovered this morning that without me changing a thing on the site, the validation tool now reports 65 errors instead of 39…

Of course I could maybe start to find and fix what I understand of the errors, if I only knew which file to edit …nice that the tool reports the line location…but havent yet found a file with 200 lines of code that I can look through…

A clue to the filename and location would be helpful if you wouldnt mind pointing me in the right direction.
