so i just designed http://www.matt-damon.net/ but the background of the container is not showing up for some reason, but when you go to a subpage like http://www.matt-damon.net/2012/03/test it does show up, what could be wrong? i can't find anything in the code :/

The image is there, it's being covered up by the image in the div below it (the picture of Matt with the avocado colored bar above him). Turn that image off and you see the container image.

you mean the main header image? i just did and it still won't show, look: http://www.matt-damon.net/ besides if it was that, why would it show in the other subpages?

I'm looking at it in Chrome/Mac, I see the container image now that you turned off the Matt image, but it stops above Sponsored Links. I played with the floats in the content and sidebar divs with a variety of results, none perfect.

I also added float: left to the container div, the image ran down the full length but the content shifted left. Those are some initial ideas anyway.
