Hello,
I am trying to make a contact form where the emails are sent to the post author using the [_post_author_email] special mail tag and some other special tags in the body of the email.
The post shortcode *IS* in the loop of my theme.
The form shows that it sent successfully, but the emails never get sent. This is not a server side issue because I am able to get it to send when I put my email address in the To: field.
Thank you for your help!!!

I think I figured it out, the [_post_author_email] tag isn't working when admin is the post author. It works for other users though.
Does anyone know how to make it work for admin posts as well?
So, what did you put into the To field exactly? Also, where can I check the site?

In the To field I have [_post_author_email]. It will not send out emails to admin when admin is the post author, but it works for contacting the author of posts made by other users. My site is http://cropcircleshawaii.com/test/
Thanks for your help!
There is no form of Contact Form 7. Of course it doesn't send mail.

Sorry, let me be more specific. The contact form is on my post pages which are listed at the right of my home page.
Here are a few posts as an example:
http://cropcircleshawaii.com/test/this-is-a-new-post/
http://cropcircleshawaii.com/test/this-time-with-photo/
and one there the form works: http://cropcircleshawaii.com/test/testuser-post-2/
Sorry for the confusion!
This could be a server issue. Some servers don't let you send emails to yourslelf. I just went to your site and submitted a test email. It just said testing.
