Contact form not delivering to Gmail (5 posts)

Just noticed several sites on different servers with clients using Gmail are not getting their contact forms. I was able to log in to one client's account and whitelist things in the Filter area and still nothing. Email is not in spam or junk folder, just does not go through. Switched back to Contact form 7 and there were no problems.

Email did get through to some other test accounts I tried like one of our website email addresses and a live.com account were good.

Also looks like Jetpack contact form will not save email addresses added to the Email Notification area. Forms still go to admins but we don't want it to go to admins. We want it to go to sales.

I´ve read a lot of support tickets about this problem.

The email is sent to the author's email of the post or page containing the contact form. In my website this page was done by another person, who has a different email, and i did not notice till a I remember it.

My solution was quite simple, I deleted the old page and make a new one by myself, paste the old content in the new one, and done.

    Silly things.

In the case of the first client this wasn't the issue but I do know what you mean.

In this one case the emails would come to me and even if I forwarded the emails to the client from my personal account his Gmail would not receive it. If I sent him a regular email he would receive it. I even added wordpress@hisdomain.com to his address book and it still would not go through. His domain and IP are not on any blacklists.

I like the Jetpack Contact form as it is very spam resistent without the need for a captcha. I suppose I will need to convert a bunch of sites back to Contact Form 7 with the Database add on feature.

In the second case all people with Admin log ins are getting a copy of the email and the Email Notifications part of the Jetpack Contact form do not retain the email address after you save the form and page. Very odd.

Could you go to your client's site, and check the Feedbacks menu in the dashboard? Are the Feedbacks stored there?

If they are, the problem is most likely caused by an issue with the server's email settings. Unfortunately, I won't be able to help you with that, but your client's hosting provider should be able to help.

If Feedbacks do not appear in the Feedbacks menu, the problem could be caused by a conflict with another plugin. Could you try to deactivate all other plugins, one at a time, and let me know if one of them conflicts with Jetpack Contact forms?

Hi Jeremy. I understand what you are saying. I should have put in the web address I was referring to. We have hundreds of WordPress sites. I switched over to contact form 7 as I could not wait for a reply. I do appreciate you getting back to me but unfortunately we have to move quickly to fix all client issues.
    Best Regards,
    Mike Kelly
