Black Studio TinyMCE Widget
[resolved] Contact form button faded (7 posts)

    Hi all,

    I recently downloaded Tine MCE widget to add a custom CSS contact form to my side bar here: http://www.LeightonStagg.com

    As you'll see, as soon as the form went live the 'submit' button on the form fades out. I've tried to correct this by changing colour codes in the CSS, but to no avail.

    Any help massively appreciated!

    PS - here is the code:

    <!-- Begin MailChimp Signup Form -->
    <p><link href="http://cdn-images.mailchimp.com/embedcode/classic-081711.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /></p>
    <style type="text/css"><!--
    #mc_embed_signup{background:#fff; clear:left; font:13px Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif; }
    /* Add your own MailChimp form style overrides in your site stylesheet or in this style block.
    We recommend moving this block and the preceding CSS link to the HEAD of your HTML file. */
    --></style>
    <div id="mc_embed_signup"><form class="validate" id="mc-embedded-subscribe-form" action="http://LeightonStagg.us6.list-manage.com/subscribe/post?u=5380643ec0f9c1ad91d749b3a&id=f51c30b961" method="post" name="mc-embedded-subscribe-form" novalidate="" target="_blank">

    Hi there,
    this is not a problem related to our plugin, but it's a CSS conflict between the mailchimp css and the css shipped with your theme.
    To fix it, you have to change your theme's CSS (or add rules to override the style). In particular the conflicting CSS rules are at lines 502-507 of your /themes/responsive/style.css (all the background-image rules).

    Hi Marco, thanks for this! How can I go about correcting the conflict, please? I'm new to CSS with a basic knowledge of HTML, so a step-by-step guide would be awesome, if possible?!

    Many thanks :-)

    Edit the file /wp-content/themes/responsive/style.css, find the section "Buttons" that starts around line 491, and remove all the lines that start with background-image:. There are three groups of these rules: one for basic buttons, one for hover status and one for active status.

    Having watched a youtube vid, I've now downloaded Firebug, NVU and FileZilla and I'm attempting to do this!

    Appreciated Marco.

    Amazing! After watching several videos and making several attempts, I got this sorted! Thanks again Marco :-)
