    Hi,

    This is my website: http://straightforwardlaw.com/

I am trying to get my contact form (either the one in the template or the widget I create) over the black part of my image on my home page. I have tried using CSS, but it squishes the words so they are no longer readable. Can anyone help me with this?

    Thanks,

    Megan

Are you modifying the default theme? That's extremely inadvisable - your changes will all be lost when WP is updated. So first you need to go back and move your changes to a Child Theme -

Are you sure it will fit?

Hmm, I would not have designed that page quite that way. For one thing, the text on the right should not be part of the image, but actual text that you style using CSS. What I would have done is create a DIV (setting the background color of the DIV using CSS), then within that DIV, "float" just the picture of the face on the left, enter the text on the right, and the contact form below the text (you can add HTML directly to the page using the Text editor when you edit the page).

Thank you WPyogi. I am in the process of building my own site from scratch and I was just using the theme for practice. I have no intention for long term usage, I was just practicing something.

Andrew Nevins: No, it will not. I have been working on adjusting the size. I just have not gotten it right yet.

CrouchingBruin: Would you be able to point me in the direction of some directions on how to do that?

Thank you all for your time.
