When I paste the Form 1 info into the Source section of my Contact page, I get the error:

    [contact-form-7 404 "Not Found"]

I have deleted the page and started over multiple times. I have deactivated and re-activated the plugin multiple times. I have upgraded to the latest version of the Contact form 7.

I've also deleted the plug in and re-installed it - still same error...

There must be something I'm missing...

The [contact-form-7 404 "Not Found"] error means that the short code inserted is not correct. Please read Getting Started with Contact Form 7 if you haven't yet.

Thank you - that's what I've done about 20 times now...

    - I install the Plug In - Activate the Plug In
    - Go to the Contact Form 7 where I'm to copy this -[contact-form-7 id="459" title="Contact form 1"]-
    - Create the Contact Page
    - Go to the Source part of the Contact page I've just created
    - paste this -[contact-form-7 id="459" title="Contact form 1"]-
    - Publish
    - Preview
    - Same error as before...

I've deleted the plug in and reinstalled and still the same thing. I'm copying & pasting the code, not typing it...

Any other ideas - other than a tears :)

Try deactivating all other plugins and switching to the default theme. This can fix the problem if conflicts are causing it.

Also can you share the URL of the site?

    My site is http://www.empowerment4you.com

I will try the deactivate and default theme - if that's a last resort. I'll try first just deactivating the other plugins. The default theme is a much larger task for me because I know it's much work to get it back the way it is now...

    Thank you

So I decided to do a Contact page with just a link to an email instead. To deactivate my other plugins and get the default theme back concerns me because I don't know if I can get everything back to where it is now. And I'm also going to have a auto-response form set up so that may have a contact form I can use.

thank you for your help. I really do appreciate it.

If you use a multisite wordpress instange, then just activate the plugin from the multisite interface, and disable it from the site.

If you use a single wordpress install for a single site, check and see the results when you activate, deactivate the plugin.

I've been using the AWeber form and that seems to be working fine. The contact form 7 wasn't.
    Thank you
