Is there a way to program in a thank you for your contact (file) when someone uses Contact Form 7. Or, does that have to come from wherever the email ends up?

    Thanks.

yes you can send a thank you email by using the send2 part of the form or you can redirect the user to a thank you page by using this code:
    on_sent_ok: "location = 'http://www.carpetncare.com/thank-you/';"

    in additional settings

    Am I so dense that I can't see anything? :) I can't find the send2 part of the form. . .

    looks like :)
Go to wordpress admin. Go to contact form 7 admin i.e contact>edit
Select your form. the first tab is form. The second tab is Mail, the third tab is Mail(2). what ever you put in message body will be emailed to anyone who fills in the form.

sorry for using send2 instead of mail 2...hope you get it now. cheers

Thanks for the helpful information -- everything has worked just as you said.

    Now, another one.
Is there anyway that I can put a series of checkboxes or drop down menu within the [text*your-name} box, i.e. where the respondent writes the message? I would like them to simply check a choice from a series rather than have them put in their own info. . .

I know this gets into coding somewhere. . .and I have some understanding but not enough for this.

    Thankk you very much.

Good to hear it all worked. sorry not sure I get what you mean about the second question. can you explain further? You can generate a drop down box with contact form 7 but I am not sure if that is what you are asking about.

Thanks for the quick response. I can't always explain myself well :) Yes I was referring to a drop down box and thinking that I had to put it in one of the text boxes. . .however with a little more exploring I found that you can code for check boxes or drop downs -- I found an example and then figured out where to put it -- and it works! It doesn't take much to get me excited since I'm not a webdesigner by training but I work to help colleagues develop their sites and so I learn as I go. . .and sometimes I know just enough to be a pest.

Thanks again. Knowing I can find help gives me lots of confidence.
