Hello,
I have installed and tried out the Contact Form 7 plugin, but I can't seem to get it to work in my WordPress installation. I downloaded the latest version of the plugin 2.1 and I am running WordPress 2.9.1.

It seems like the code is just not executing, so it doesn't load the form accordingly.
Any and all help in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, I found that, and tried the different suggestions made in that post, but none of them worked. After reading through different topics, installing Contact Form 8 as well, and even configuring SMTP settings to see if that helped, I still have no success.
Any other ideas?

I'm not sure what's wrong but I'm having the same problem. It was working for about a year and then it stopped so I think it must be something with the latest version.

Does anyone know of a solution to this, or a replacement plugin to achieve the same results? If this is an issue with the latest release then when can we expect a patch / update?

I had the same kind of problem: Whenever I insert the contact form code in a post, page or text widget it would not parse the code. But it turned out to be an incompatible plugin, in my case it was 'HeadSpace 2'.
If you're having the same problem I would recommend disabling all plugins except Contact Form 7 and see if that fixes the problem. If it does, re-enable plugins one by one to see which one is causing the problem.
If none of the other plugins are causing the problem, switch to the default theme to see if that's the problem.

Hey Takayukister,
I downloaded and installed the development version that you sent me a link for but the issue still persists :(
I tried disabling all the plugins to see if that helped as suggested, but it did not. I just don't understand what else it could be?? Are there other known issues / conflicts that the plugin has?
Would looking at the HTML of the page help at all or is this more on the PHP side of things? Once again the link is http://www.maxwellresidence.com/contact/

Hi,
i'm having the same issue with the upgrade to contact form 7 v2.1 on the following url

and all forms on the site
i have tried...
With and without 'really simple CAPTCHA' v1.1
Disabling ALL other plugins
AND going back to and using the wordpress default theme 1.6
(otherwise i'm normally running Modularity from GRaph Paper Press v2.2 (i know there is a newer one but i didnt want to add to my complications just yet)
when i click SEND, the arrows just keep on turning and nothing happens, no emails arrive

please excuse a <bump> on this one, my arrows are still spinning and forms not working. As i have tried disabling plug-ins and the theme i'm not sure what else i can do, and i dont really want to have to get a new form app, as contact form 7 was perfect, when it worked before the upgrade

Was this resolved, I just upgraded to WP 3.04 and now my tags in the content won't render the form.. it displays the tags to the user instead... any suggestions?
