Contact Form 7 Not Sending Mail

I have the latest version of WordPress. I’m new to this, so any guidance on what I need to configure would be helpful. I installed the Contact Form 7 plugin, created the form without any extra fields, filled in the email address I want it to go to, and it processes, but no mail is ever received. I’ve tried this with multiple email addresses. Is there something I missed? A file I need to modify? An additional plugin to get it to work? Thanks!!
