   Hello,

   I am "fighting" with contact form 7 to be able to receive attached files:

   <p>Your Name (required)<br />
       [text* your-name] </p>
   
   <p>Your Email (required)<br />
       [email* your-email] </p>
   
   <p>Your Message<br />
       [textarea your-message] </p>
   
   <p>Upload<br />
   [file* attachment limit:4000000 filetypes:pdf|jpeg|jpg|doc|docx|txt|odf|zip]  </p>
   
   <p>Please copy the text from the picture below<br />
   [captchac captcha-305 size:m] <br />
   [captchar captcha-305] <br /> </p>
   
   <p>[submit "Send"]</p>

   I did this and it said send successfull when I send the completed form.
   I am using a gmail address to receive.
   I receive the message but not the attachment.

   In file attachments section I have add [attachment]

   I receive the message but no attachment at all.

   I tried to switch to different email address to receive the message, I tried to put a number instead of "attachment"...

   I checked the wp-content/uploads and it contains a wpcf7_uploads folder with 733 permissions (read write).

   My hosting solution is OVH.com, I don't know if this matter

   I am having the same issue with attachments of all kinds. I am able to send the e-mail with no issue, but the attachment is never there, no matter the size or file type.

   Is no one else having this problem? On Newest WordPress, with Newest Contact 7. the attachments are not sending... Any help on this one would be greatly appreciated.

   People, If you read this, Check your forms, If you have a File Attachment on them, There is a VERY good chance that it is not working. I know not all forms use them, but for the ones that do, this is vital. The form will send no problem, but the attachment is lost.

   We would appreciate the help. I am kind of at wits end on this one.

   My problem is worse: the file upload process doesn't complete. the loading gif keeps rotating endlessly.

   wpcf7_uploads folder chmoded to 733. however, i noticed a .htaccess file lives in the wpcf7_uploads folder. it says Deny from all

   Do you guys have the same .htaccess file in there?

    Hi Thomas,

    I do have this htaccess in the folder as well.
    This is use to avoid being able to browse without identification by going to http//yousite/wpcf7_upload I believe...
    But what if we rename it? I did not tried.

    I'm not going to randomly modify the .htaccess file. Hopefully someone will come up with a less adventurous solution for us. Patience et longueur de temps...

    Check the Version of PHP on your server. If it is lower than PHP 5 that is most likely the issue. Have your host upgrade the PHP version, and it should work.

    I had the same problem and found solution.
    You need to comment out one line of code in class.php file see below:

    @jmysona Hey, do you still remember how to solve this problem? The URL you linked to doesn't tell me anything, and many people seem to be struggling with this problem. Any help is much appreciated!

    upgrade to PHP 5.XX solve the problem.
    You may have to look forward with your hosting solution on how to proceed.
