[contact-form-7 404 "Not Found"]

    I am able to install the plugin with no problem, however, instead of seeing any forms I create, I see:

    Warning: preg_replace(): Compilation failed: unknown option bit(s) set at offset 0 in /home/fallenclouddev/public_html/wp-includes/shortcodes.php on line 309
    [contact-form-7 404 “Not Found”]

    I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin. I have uninstalled and reinstalled WordPress. I have also tried an earlier version of the plugin. I have also ensured that I am using the correct shortcode. However I continue to get the same error message.

    I did contact godaddy and they told me that there was an update to WordPress last week. This is my first WordPress website. I don’t know if anyone else is experiencing the same issue, but I could sure use some help.
