I recently installed the Constant Contact WordPress API plugin, added it to the sidebar, and no matter what email I type, I get a message back that it is spam. This is the message: Your submission has been identified as spam. Please enter a valid email address

I also tried the form designer, which is a separate widget, and got the same error. I also downloaded the Constant Contact Widget 2.0, which asks me for html code from Constant Constant, but it is my understanding that CC no longer provides form code, only button code.

I currently have the form disabled since this is a live site, and created an iframe to display my form, however I find it distressing that CC does not allow me to alter the text on this form, specifically the size.

    The site is http://fegleylaw.com

  • Exact same problem on my end. I’ve gone through the support FAQs and there’s nothing addressing the problem. In the interim, I’ve had to cross over to an especially ugly CC form.

Why hasn’t there been a response to this thread in 8 months?

    Pat

… this happened to me too. What worked was unchecking Askimet as the spam control device for Constant Contact:

    got to the path YOURWEBDOMAIN/wp-admin/admin.php?page=constant-contact-api&oauth=new&settings-updated=true#spam-prevention

Of course it remains that now the form is wide open to spam, which is not good. Come on constant contact, let’s get cracking with this problem!

This has been fixed in 3.1.5. Thanks for reporting.

    Just tested it! All good.

    Thank you Mr Katz.
