ive just installed wordpress 3.0.1 on IIS7 and im trying to update a plugin but it asks for connection settings. wordpress is running on iis7 on windows 7. i have enabled ftp publishing in iis7, but i am a bit unsure of what settings i needed so i left them on the default values. im not sure what user name and password i need or what the host name is. ive tried using 'localhost' and 127.0.0.1 with my windows username and password but it comes up saying 'Unable to locate WordPress Content directory (wp-content).'

if i specify the path (localhost/wordpress/wp-content or localhost/wordpress) i get 'Failed to connect to FTP Server localhost/wordpress/wp-content:21'

both iis7 and wordpress are new to me so im not sure where to go from here!

You should be able to use the following credentials.

Hostname: localhost or 127.0.0.1 or server/computer name (i.e. MYSERVERNAME)
    FTP Username: Your Windows Account
FTP Password: Your Windows Account Password
