Connection error on my wordpress

Hey!

So I discovered this error on my website http://www.lindbergdavid.com when trying to search for new plugins, I just keep getting this message:
“An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums”.

And when I try to update my wordpress it already says I have the latest one “3.8.3” which I know isn’t the latest one at the moment. I think the latest one right now is 3.9.1.

So I try to re-install my current version but then I’m getting this message:
“Downloading update from https://downloads.wordpress.org/release/wordpress-3.8.3-no-content.zip…
Download failed.
Installation Failed”

So it looks like I’m having some connection troubles, right?

I’ve asked my host one.com but they said it isn’t a problem on their side and that I should contact wordpress instead.

So, what can I do to solve this problem?
