   I am attemting to connect and update parts of my blog via Adobe contribute. I have been unable to connect to the server. Ive verified my settings. Does anyone know if there are special steps needed on the blog in to make this connection?

   I have the same problem, I either get the nessage that the server is not available or not accepting connections. Or I sometimes get the comment that my metaweblog password is incorrect (is this a different password from my standard login, if so, how do I create one)

   I tried everything in Contribute HELP for being able to edit blogs, beginning with WordPress, then Blogger just in case there was another way in. I can't get it to work, either. Well enough of us have the problem. Hopefully someone has an answer!

   I found out how to do this. You have to give permission for the access first.

   You have to login into your wordpress admin page.
   > click settings
   > click writing
   > Go down to REMOTE PUBLISHING
   > check box XML-RPC
   > click save changes

   now the setup for the blog connection should work

   I know this sounds simplistic but will it run from Microsoft Word? If it won't update your password on the server. I was using the correct password because I was getting into WordPress with it but when I changed it at my host it worked.
