Transposh WordPress Translation
Conflict with wp-typography plugin (?) (3 posts)

I just found out that Transposh can't work properly with wp-Typography plugin and maybe other plugins that format text. Check for example article on my blog (it is in Polish, about popular keychain camera):

    http://www.dworniak.pl/blog/80816v2-kamera-w-kasku/?lang=en

After translation you can easily find stings like:
" On the side of the house-the new company PRZE-wo-zo-input"
"We return here to the non-com-pe-ten-tion of a seller"

I know that wp-Typography puts non printable character inside words to enable hyphenation - when this function is disabled Transposh translates as it should.

Is it possible to make this two plugins work together seamless?

Another "bug" but minor: I see string like that in Transposh widget with english language added " Edit Translation".

    Hi,

    Please check:
    http://translate.google.com/#auto/en/w%20zak%C5%82adce%20%C5%9Bledze%C2%ADnia%20prze%C2%ADsy%C2%AD%C5%82ek%E2%80%89%E2%80%94

This is a google thingy, suggest switching to bing. (or better, manually correct it)

I see what you mean about those added chars, (%C2%AD) which causes this translation.

Solution, cleaning strings at Translation, or using a non-breaking plugin.

However - I am not sure what I can really do about that now.
