hy. Reporting bug in hopes that it will be resolved in some future update… I really hope so since I love this plug in!

When used on same page as smooth slider there is some conflict. I assume it’s some jQuery function meltdown or something :). Final result is that both of those 2 plugins just stop working. Slider stops rotating and calendar shows all the event’s pop-ups which can’t be closed any more.

Interestingly this only happens when smoothslider version is newer than 2.3.2. For this release they work together but for all later updates there are shenanigans. If I remember correctly, this is last version with some ”old” jQuery files and then they changeg jQuery to something else due to WP incompatibilities. I don’t know. I hope some of you guys are smarter :)!

So, I installed Smooth Slider to test — and it really wasn’t obvious how to even use that plug-in. Is it shortcode driven?

My Calendar uses the version of jQuery natively shipped with WordPress, and that is what it will always be focused on. If Smooth Slider uses something else, then that could easily be a source of conflict.

Yes, on page where I use it I use it through shortcode which is hardcoded directly in php.

Besides that it can be used on each post through screen options box and when enabled it gets added automagically. But that’s not the case in this instance.

So, did you manage to replicate the problem?

Ok, I checked with firebug and I get this error:

TypeError: jQuery(“#smooth_slider_1”).cycle is not a function
    ,slideExpr: “div.smooth_slideri”

Any idea how is this connected to My Calendar?
