Conflict with Slideshow plugin (8 posts)

    Hi Erin,
I have run across a conflict between your awesome plugin and another, that I'm trying to find a fix for. The other plugin is 'Slideshow' (http://wordpress.org/plugins/slideshow-jquery-image-gallery/). For some reason, when I have the shortcodes for both the slideshow and the random testimonal on the same page, the testimonial wins out and doesn't allow the slideshow to display. I use both plugins on a number of sites, without issue, but only 1 site has both of these shortcodes within the same content section. Any help with this bug would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

I just reverted back to a previous version of GC Testimonials, and it's all working again. I will study your code for the changes you made between the previous version and your latest version. This issue is only related to the Random testimonial shortcode when it's in the same content area as the shortcode for the Slideshow plugin. If I find the fix, I'll post it here as well.
    Thanks.
    Terry.

    Hi Erin,

The issue isn't necessarily caused by either of our plugins. The GC Testimonials plugin, however, cancels a WordPress filter which could pose as an XSS risk.

The same support thread on the slideshow forum can be found here.

    Best regards,
    Stefan

    Hi Terry and Stefan,

Thanks for the information. The last thing I want in the plugin is holes which could pose a risk, so I will look into fixing this today.

I will update this thread once I have made the fix.

    Thanks
    Erin

    Thanks Erin,
this seems to have solved the problem. Thanks for the super-quick response, both to you and Stefan, author of the other amazing plugin - Slideshow.

    Hi there,
I want the slideshows rotate one by one to display without clicking the button.

Is there any option on this...?

    pankaj.techila@gmail.com,
you're posting this in the wrong place. You should post queries to the Slideshow plugin here: http://wordpress.org/plugins/slideshow-jquery-image-gallery/
