    My Nextgen gallery slideshows fail to load correctly when Google Libraries is activated. Thumbnails load in place of slide show.
    Do you have a solution please for someone without too much coding knowledge?

    Exactly which plugin? There are a number of similarly named plugins.

    Have you enabled WP_DEBUG and checked the log?

    Here's the documentation for WP_DEBUG.

    Do you mean the NextGEN Gallery plugin? I can't find one named just "NextGEN" or "NextGEN by photocrati".

    Have looked at the WP_DEBUG page but can't see how to enable it.
    Apologies yes NextGEN Gallery is the plugin I use.

    Edit your wp-config.php file, and on the line after:

    <?php

    insert the following:

    define('WP_DEBUG', true);

    OK enabled as instructed but this just seems to make matters worse. Raplidly losing interest in this plugin if it gives me this much stress just to install. Have W3 Total cache plugin -does this have any relevance?

    I just wanted to know what, if any messages, you see with debug enabled. Feel free to disable it again.

    I'm doing this for free, so you get what you pay for. Feel free to uninstall it if you can't be bothered to help figure out a problem you are having.

    @nikphoto W3 Total Cache can screw up nggallery after updating W3. Slows down gallery saves or editing a gallery.

    When I update W3 I immediately repair and optimize the database so it won't affect nggallery.

    Sorry I know this doesn't solve your original problem, but I felt I should say something because you mentioned W3, and I knew it could cause issues.

    Good luck.

    Thank you DoubleSix for taking the time to offer your advice re W3 -appreciate it. Have not been aware of any issues but will keep in mind.
    Jason I take your point so I apologise if I went a step too far in venting my frustration!

    How do I duplicate this NGG issue exactly @DoubleSixx?

    @Frederick

    Duplicate what I described ?

    Simply just update W3. After the update pages with thumbnails on the backend (Admin side) will be VERY SLOW. You'll want to pull your hair out.
