Meta Slider
[resolved] Conflict with Gmedia Gallery (5 posts)

We're running WP 3.8.1 and Meta Slider Pro 2.3.2. Everything works fine, but as soon as we activate Gmedia Gallery then Meta Slider stops working. The area with the slider shows up blank. (Note: there is no Gmedia Gallery on the same page as Meta Slider.)

When you deactivate Gmedia Gallery and clear the cache, Meta Slider works again.

I compared the code with and without Gmedia Gallery activated and there is only one distinction: when Gmedia Gallery is activated, the following code appears in the head on every page (including the page with Meta Slider)...

    <script type='text/javascript'>var gMediaGlobalVar={"ajaxurl":"http:\/\/mydomain.com\/wp-admin\/admin-ajax.php","uploadPath":"http:\/\/mydomain.com\/wp-content\/grand-media","gmediaKey":"","mash":null};</script>

(I've substituted "mydomain.com" for the actual domain name.)

    Thoughts?

    Hi bruin.

I've just installed it but my slideshows are still working. Do you have a link I could take a look at? Do you see any JavaScript errors on the page? (In Chrome, go to View > Developer > JavaScript Console)

    Regards,
    Tom.

    Hi Tom,

    Thanks for the quick response.

    Throws the following js errors:

Uncaught ReferenceError: gMediaGlobalVar is not defined
Uncaught TypeError: Object [object Object] has no method 'nivoSlider'

    Thanks!

    Hi bruinmark.

The error suggests a different problem (missing wp_footer() in your themes footer.php file). Are you sure it starts working when you disable Gmedia gallery?

    Regards,
    Tom
