   Hi Everyone, before switching to a new theme I would like to fully configure it. While I am doing it I want the public to see the old theme. How can this be achieved?

   i would like the dashboard to know that i am using that theme, so i can experiment with layouts and widgets. i would like to test it fully. and modify CSS and pages if necessary

   Then I would recommend using a test/development install of WordPress.

   hmm, not sure how to do that. what I was thinking of is having a copy of my current blog, and working on the copy until I am happy with it, and then getting rid of the old blog and using the new blog..
