jwrobbsI'm a long time web hobbyist and I'm trying to start doing things the "right way." That includes using a development site so that I don't screw up the active site every time I want to change things. But there are a couple aspects of the process that have me confused.
1. How do I maintain a copy of the production site without it touching all the external services that I have? They're mainly RSS and newsletter functions. I don't want to sets of data being sent to iTunes, etc.
2. After I copy the site, how do I keep things synced? Even if I don't make any posts, there will be comments and other things.
