Here's my business' website I made from a modified theme made to fit a business site. We are a computer repair business focused on residential and small business clients in the north suburbs of Minneapolis I was having a tough time finding themes that I liked that had a small business look to them.
I went and bought a bunch of books and went to work revising the site every six months and trying new things every time. I finally think I have something worth showing off after two years of tinkering: Spartan PC
On this site I turned a slide show presentation preview designed for a blog and since they are blog posts every time I run a new marketing campaign or change prices an update is automatically sent out to the search engines(or at least in theory...). I also removed the dates to further lose the blog feel.
The template also had advertising so I modified the ads and put up my own linked to a page internally. This is also all doable through the content management system.
I also made use of static pages and tied them into a top navigational bar.
Overall the more I play with wordpress the more I fall in love with it!
