Complicated feed question

A preemptive thank you to anyone who can help me with this. I don’t have the know-how to do this alone.

I run two sites, http://heroesarg.com, and http://deskofheroes.com.

deskofheroes.com is a wallpaper site using the popular Infinity theme from Vikiworks [it’s been widgetized by me]. Each thumbnail is sized to 235×150 and uploaded, then put into the posts’ custom field with ‘thumbnail’ as the key, and the images’ address as the value.

What I’d like to do is have be able to have the latest, say, 5 images from deskofheros.com, fed to heroesarg.com [which uses the wp-magazine theme from Solostream], at the bottom right above the footer. It would show the thumbnail [preferably resized to 141×90, but if not, that’s ok], and it would link to the post on deskofheroes.com.

I currently us Feedburner for my feeds, but if I have to ditch that, then that wouldn’t be a problem. I’ll do whatever it takes to get this working.

Does that make sense? Is it possible? I’d like to avoid having to do it all manually. But if this all sound impossible, I guess I won’t have a choice.
