I have 3 columns. If I sort by any column before saving it, then that sort shows in the live page. But if I want to sort first by A (ascending), then B (ascending), and then C (ascending) – all I get is the last sort order. Is there a way to do a complex sort?

Am I correct…. in the front-end, if you hold shift, you can do multiple column sorts? But in the back-end it doesn’t work that way?

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

The sorting on the “Edit” screen is very limited, and indeed does not support complex sort (or sorting on multiple columns), unfortunately.
The front-end sort indeed does support this, by pressing the “Shift” key, as you have discovered.

You will either have to sort the table on the “Edit” screen manually, or e.g. sort it in Excel and then (re-)import the table into TablePress after sorting it.
Sorry for not having better news here.

    Regards,
    Tobias
