Hi there, I'd like to start by saying that I think most of this could be done through the theme and with some plug ins.
What am I planning?
Well I;d like to use wordpress in a way I haven't seen it used before. With some tweaking I would like to
- Turn the Blog system into a threaded message board
- Show all comments (replies to post) after post with multiple posts on a page (index.php)
- Have auto logged in users for commenting (i have seen in done in comments.php)
- Have comment return to the main index.php page when comment has been made
- Allow posting new thread (blog item) from the main index.php page for logged in users.
to give you some idea i essentially want to use wordpress as a form of http://www.b3ta.com/board and to give you an idea i have mocked up this little image to help out

So the question is?
is it possible and can i relative ok coder (not to much php knowledge) do it.
